Having pandemic makes us rethink the possibilities of creating art exhibitions through augmented reality.
After working with an illustrator and 3D designer to create an AR model a couple of years ago, I decided to curate an AR exhibition that allows people to view artworks in their home the coronavirus pandemic.
With museums and galleries closed, and design and art fairs cancelled or postponed due to the crisis, AR allows for socially distanced exhibition. I’m developing a platform where artists can self-publish their work, and people can preview them on Instagram and Snapchat anywhere and anytime. Viewers can share the artworks on their social media.
